11th Oct to 30th Nov 2026

The international conference of the Hungarian Pancreatic Study Group (HPSG) is a prestigious, three-day scientific meeting held in Hungary, serving as one of Central Europe’s premier forums dedicated to the basic, translational, and clinical aspects of pancreatic diseases.
The 15th HPSG Conference will take place from November 20–22, 2026, in Budapest, Hungary.
The scientific excellence of the conference is ensured by invited lectures delivered by leading international experts, with a particular focus on the pathomechanisms of experimental pancreatitis, disease models of genetically determined pancreatic disorders, the clinical course of acute and chronic pancreatitis, and the prediction and prevention of both in-hospital and post-discharge complications.
Dedicated sessions address multidisciplinary care and risk factors—including the roles of the microbiome, lipotoxicity, and lifestyle and psychological determinants—as well as long-term sequelae following acute pancreatitis.
The scientific program also features a specialized endoscopy block dedicated to EUS- and ERCP-based diagnostic and interventional procedures, along with thematic sessions covering current topics in pancreatic cancer screening, diagnostics, and oncological management.
Translational Medicine and Multidisciplinary Collaboration
A defining feature of the event is its practical demonstration of the translational approach. Researchers join not only from medical fields: biologists, psychologists, dietitians, and physiotherapists actively participate in the program.
The core objective of the conference is to emphasize that modern medicine no longer relies on isolated individual efforts, but on multidisciplinary teamwork—a cornerstone of which is bridging the gap between basic research and clinical practice.
