The EPC Committees are the working engine of the European Pancreatic Club, translating strategic priorities into action across education, research, clinical guidance, and public engagement. Bringing together appointed members with specialist expertise, they enable the EPC to work with greater speed and depth — driving the Club's mission to advance pancreatic science and treatment for the benefit of patients everywhere.
Mandate and Responsibilities
Established in January 2024, the EPC Committees are central to the society's ability to deliver on its mission. They support the EPC Council and Executive Committee, advance important initiatives, and provide members with meaningful opportunities to learn and grow professionally.
Each Committee is made up of appointed EPC members, led by a Chair and Vice-Chair and supported by one or two EPC Council representatives who report back to the EPC leadership.
All members serving on a committee must be active members of the EPC.
Committees meet virtually at least four times a year, as well as in person at the annual EPC meeting, and report regularly to the Council on their progress.
By taking focused ownership of specific areas relating to the EPC's mission, the Committees allow the organisation to work faster, with greater depth, and with a broader reach than the Council or Executive Committee alone could achieve — increasing EPC's visibility and impact in the field of pancreatology.
