World Pancreatic Cancer Day 2023 - Official EPC Statement

16th Nov 2023

On WPCD and every day, the European Pancreatic Club (EPC) recognizes the importance of raising awareness about pancreatic cancer and ensuring that the voices of patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals are heard at both regional and national levels.

By advocating for policies that support Equality of care, Prevention and early detection, improved treatment options to Cure pancreatic cancer, the EPC has undertaken a groundbreaking initiative called ABC

The core pillar of the ABC initiative is the promotion of better quality of care for pancreatic cancer across Europe

Pancreatic cancer presents unique challenges, often diagnosed at an advanced stage when treatment options are limited. The EPC aims to bridge gaps in healthcare systems across Europe, advocating for standardized and accessible care pathways. This includes the dissemination of best practices, the development of guidelines for healthcare professionals, and the promotion of multidisciplinary approaches to ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive and effective care possible.

The EPC is working tirelessly to foster collaboration with other stakeholders such as the UEG, ECO and PCE and with national pancreatic clubs to ensure that individuals facing pancreatic cancer receive equitable, high-quality care, and that the journey towards a cure is accelerated through collaborative efforts and increased research funds.

Stand with EPC, stand up against Pancreatic Cancer!
