On July 2nd, 2025, clinicians, researchers, and patient advocates gathered in Düsseldorf to address the urgent needfor improved prevention and screening of pancreatic cancer.
On the occasion of the 57th Meeting of the European Pancreatic Club (EPC), a multi-stakeholder meeting took place to discuss the urgent topic “Pancreatic Cancer Prevention and Screening – Can We Do More?”.
The event was organised by the European Pancreatic Club’s Public Affairs Committee and supported by Pancreatic Cancer Europe (PCE) and the United European Gastroenterology (UEG) associations.
The session, moderated by Patrick Michl (Chair of the EPC Public Affairs Committee, University Hospital Heidelberg, Heidelberg), Gabriella Lionetto (EPC Public Affairs Committee, Pancreatic Surgery Unit, Verona) and Letizia Procaccio (EPC Public Affairs Committee, Veneto Institute of Oncology, Padua), brought together healthcare providers, basic and clinical scientists as well as patient advocates to discuss the challenges, urgent needs and opportunities in pancreatic cancer prevention and screening.
