Digestive Disease Mechanism (DDM) Summit – Berlin, 5–7 October 2025

As part of UEG Week 2025, the Digestive Disease Mechanism (DDM) Summit will take place for the first time—a three-day scientific program focused on the mechanisms underlying digestive diseases, including gastrointestinal cancers.

Chaired by Paco Real, Maria Sibilia, and Matthias Heikenwälder, the summit provides a platform for basic scientists to share their latest findings, engage with leading international experts, and explore cutting-edge developments in the field.

The program will highlight key topics such as artificial intelligence, spatial biology, immune evasion, and metabolic reprogramming. Attendees can expect a dynamic mix of expert lectures, interactive group discussions, and abstract presentations by emerging researchers.

Call for Abstracts:
Young medical scientists are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts. Selected contributions will be published in the UEG Journal, on Gutflix, and in the official online program. Presenters will also benefit from a significantly reduced UEG Week registration fee of €200.

Travel Grants Available:
Up to 140 travel grants worth €750 each will be awarded to basic scientists under the age of 40. Applications are submitted automatically with the abstract.

Abstract Deadline: 23 May 2025
