15th to 17th Nov 2025
The 5th German Pancreatic Cancer Research Meeting will take place from November 17 to 19, 2025, in Halle (Saale), Germany.
The event is hosted by the Research Training Group 2751 “Inflammation, Cancer and Pancreatic Cancer Progression” (InCuPanC) at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. It serves as a central platform for scientists from Germany and abroad to exchange ideas, present new findings, and discuss current challenges in pancreatic cancer research.
The scientific program will cover a broad range of topics, including the role of inflammation in early pancreatic cancer development, biomarker discovery and early detection, RNA biology, tumor heterogeneity, and innovative therapeutic strategies. The meeting aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration between basic researchers and clinicians to advance understanding and treatment of pancreatic cancer.
A key focus of the conference is on supporting and connecting young researchers. Early-career scientists will have the opportunity to present their projects, engage in scientific discussions, and build networks with leading experts in the field.
The event is jointly organized by several German research consortia:
- RTG 2751 (Halle)
- CRU 5002 (Göttingen)
- CRU 325 (Marburg)
- CRC 1321 (Munich)
Together, these networks represent a strong and collaborative community dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with pancreatic cancer through innovative research.
In addition to the scientific sessions, participants are invited to take part in the “Pancreatic Cancer Run” through Halle’s historic city center — a symbolic event combining science, community, and physical activity.
The meeting has been certified by the Medical Association of Saxony-Anhalt with 17 continuing education credits.
