Celebrating 10 Years of Pancreatic Cancer Europe — EPC Was There!

27th May 2026

On 28 April 2026, the EPC had the honor of joining Pancreatic Cancer Europe in Valletta, Malta, to mark a truly special milestone: PCE’s 10th anniversary.

The high-level public awareness event, titled “Pancreatic cancer: how to make a difference for the next decade”, was delivered with the support of the Ministry for Health and Active Ageing of Malta. It brought together an inspiring community of advocates, researchers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers. All participants were united by one shared goal: improving care, outcomes, and quality of life for patients affected by pancreatic cancer.

A central theme of the event was the importance of awareness as a driver for earlier diagnosis, better access to care, stronger healthcare systems, and continued advocacy at both national and European level. Discussions also highlighted the need to translate awareness into tangible action for patients and their families

As PCE marked its 10th anniversary, the event served both as a celebration of progress and as a reminder of the need to continue building awareness around pancreatic cancer.

During the meeting, EPC renewed its partnership with Pancreatic Cancer Europe, reinforcing the shared dedication to patient-centred research.

EPC was represented by Prof. Salvatore Paiella, member of the EPC Public Affairs Committee, who attended the event on behalf of the Club.

Here’s to a decade of progress, and to many more years of working together.
